Ranbir Kapoor calls diaper changing 'rocket science'

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are one of B-town’s newest parents and one can safely assume baby Raha must be the centre of their universe. But for now, Ranbir has taken some time off from his darling daughter to promote his new film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar where he teams up with Shraddha Kapoor and director Luv Ranjan. During the interview with ETimes, we asked Ranbir to reveal special details about Raha’s firsts. The new dad sportingly agreed and shared exclusive details about Raha’s first photo, the experience of changing diapers and Raha’s first ever gift bought by her dad. Read on to find out more.

Who clicked Raha’s first photo? I did. Obviously Alia was not in the condition because she was delivering her. So I clicked her first picture ever.
After Alia, who was the first one from the family who picked Raha up?
It was either Soni aunty or my mum or Shaheen, between the three of them. I don’t clearly remember because everything was such a daze. But it was one between the three of them.

What happened when you first changed Raha’s diaper?
I think there’s too much spoken about it. It’s a very new process. There is a rocket science to it. There is a certain way you fold it, how you stick it, how you remove it, how you clean, all of that. But I prefer the burping part rather than the diaper changing part.

What was the first thing that you bought for her?
A sneaker. A really small sneaker. A Nike sneaker and a Barcelona jersey in her size with her name and the number 8.

What’s the first thought that crossed your mind when you saw her for the first time?
I can’t describe it. I don’t have words yet. Maybe after a couple of years I’ll be able to articulate but I can’t describe it. It was more than overwhelming.
