“Rahul Gandhi’s expose’ against industrialist Gautam Adani and his nexus with Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resulted in the Union government taking such action (disqualification as MP) against him. “Well, on the one hand, what they have done appears to be an example of Vinash Kale Viprit Buddhi (In adverse situations, people lose their ability to take sound decisions), but on the other hand, politically it will benefit a lot. It has given the opposition a weapon which will not only protect democracy but also help in giving an additional 100 seats to Rahul Gandhi and the Opposition,” Shatrughan Sinha told ANI. “We appreciate it and thank our friend, PM Modi,” he added.
The TMC leader said that Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification has brought the opposition parties together.

“They Want To Silence Rahul Gandhi, But They’re Mistaken”: Haryana Congress Chief
Haryana Congress chief Udai Bhan said Rahul Gandhi has been raising his voice against the BJP-led Centre on various issues. “They want to silence his voice, but they are mistaken,” said Haryana Congress chief.
Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring alleged that the action against Rahul Gandhi was taken because the BJP-led Centre was “scared” of his next speech in Parliament on the Adani issue. He said a “tearing hurry” was shown by the Lok Sabha Secretariat in disqualifying Rahul Gandhi allegedly at the behest of the BJP-led government.
“They kept insulting our family continuously, but Rahul Gandhi went to Modi ji and hugged in the parliament. My brother told him he has no hatred for him. He said their ideologies may differ but there is no hatred. Is this the country’s tradition to keep insulting a person? My family learnt what a democracy is with its blood. We are not going to be afraid,” said Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
“This Satyagraha is just for today but such Satyagrahas will be done across the country. Rahul Gandhi is fighting for the common people. The statement (Modi surname) was given by Rahul Gandhi in Karnataka but the case was transferred to Gujarat. BJP did not have the power to file the defamation case in Karnataka,” says Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge.
After being denied permission to hold satyagraha at Rajghat, senior Congress leaders are holding the protest event outside the Gandhi Samadhi at the service road adjoining Rajghat.
