The post was captioned saying, “India’s passion for innovation never ceases to amaze. I drove an electric rickshaw, capable of traveling up to 131km (about 81 miles) and carrying up to 4 people. It’s inspiring seeing companies like Mahindra contribute to the decarbonization of the transportation industry.” Clearly, the discussion between Mahindra and Gates was geared towards zero carbon emissions and electric vehicles.

On the other end, Anand Mahindra too had shared a post on Twitter where the two former classmates can be seen shaking hands. Mr Mahindra even got his hands on a signed copy of the ‘How to Avoid a Climate Disaster’ a book authored by Gates in 2021. While no other details about their meet-up has been divulged up till now, it would be interesting to see if Microsoft and Mahindra join forces in order to achieve global zero-carbon emission goals.
